Working through SIP
SIP is delivered through four modules that correspond to the WISE guidelines for maternity care. These are:
Woman centred
Interprofessional
System supported
Every stage of care
Each module contains scenarios that provide an interactive component for you to work through, with printable tip sheets for you to print as a resource. Modules are worked through in WISE order. Each module takes approximately one hour to complete.
SIP can be undertaken as part of an interprofessional program that includes workshops facilitated by and educator or trainer in your region (or at your hospital). Alternatively, the SIP modules can be undertaken by individual clinicians at your own pace.
What is WISE
WISE is the acronym used in the WISE Guidelines for sharing information professionally. The WISE Guidebook outlines the WISE Guidelines for communication and tools to help achieve WISE information sharing.
